Obituary
Artie Mae Thomas Scott, 71, of Arlington, died on August 12, 2009, 7:35 P. M. at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.
Mrs. Scott was a lifelong member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was an overseer of the Scott Bar-B-Que Pit.
She was preceded in death by her parents Sammy Thomas and Ollie Motley Thomas, and three sisters, Laverne Crumble, Jewell Young, Effie Mason.
She is survived by Her husband Robert Lee Scott, Arlington, one son Robert Lee Scott, Jr., of Paducah, KY; four daughters, Mary Scott Blythe, Cindy Scott, Kathy Scott, all of Arlington and Laura Skinner, of Dublin; seven brothers, Sammy Thomas, Raymond Thomas, Larry Thomas, all of Columbus; Bobby Thomas, Erie, PA; James Thomas, Clinton; Donald Thomas, Waverly;Ricky Thomas, Toledo, OH; three sisters, Wanda Alexander, South Fulton, TN; Christine Scott, Springhill; Elizabeth Smalls, Princeton; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Services are scheduled for Sunday, August 16, 2009, 2:30 p.m. at Mt Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, 5954 State Route 123 West, Clinton, KY, with Reverend Tony Johnson Officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Sinai Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors at the church from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
