James E. Jones, age 61, Paducah, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, 8:18 a.m. at Baptist Health Paducah.

James was a member of Conquers for Christ Church in Paducah where he served as Pastor.

He was a graduate of Champaign High School in Champaign, IL and attended Indiana Christian University. He was instrumental in birthing several churches all around the country.

He is survived by one son: James E. Jones, Jr. of Champaign, IL; one daughter, Soteria French of North Richland Hills, TX; one grandson: Hosea Jones of North Richland Hills, Texas; four brothers: Charles Jones of Providence, Rhode Island, Paul Jones of Dallas, TX, John Jones of Biroquaj, WI, and William Jones of Champaign, IL; two sisters, Mary Anna Thomas of Paducah and Jo Ella Jones of Champaign, IL; several nieces, nephews and cousins .

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Jones and Ethel Shelton Jones, several sisters and brothers.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 17, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at New Greater Love Church with Reverend LaRita Horton  and Soteria French officiating.

Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
