IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Anthony Lamont
Young
September 23, 1975 – June 12, 2024
Anthony Lamont Young, affectionately known as "Tony", entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in New Brighton, Minnesota. Born on September 23, 1975, he was the son of Cathy Hall and Charles Mackey, Jr. He was employed as a manager at H2O Overhaul, Inc. in Minnesota.
Tony was a 1993 graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and attended Murray State University. He loved baseball and played the game beginning at an early age with T-ball and continuing throughout his years at Tilghman.
Family was of the utmost importance to Tony. He was a loving, compassionate man who never missed an opportunity to greet family members with a "good morning" message or a "check-in" to make sure everyone was doing well. His family messages will be greatly missed.
He had a passion for life and will forever be remembered for his gift of bringing joy to others by making people laugh. He was a consummate jokester who kept family entertained at family reunions using his "alter ego" Jerome as well as several other characters.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandfather, James D. Young, Sr.; his paternal grandparents Charles and Rena Mackey; and paternal grandmother Dorothy Hall.
He is survived by his parents, Cathy (Anthony) Hall and Charles (Mary) Mackey, Jr.; six children, Brante, Nyah, Lyrick (Tyrone), Bryce, Shaun, and Kailani; a sister, Shammara (Beirut) Wall; one brother, Jarel Mackey; three Step-Sisters, Shaye Davenport, Chelsey Marble and Yalandis Powell; four Step-Brothers, Antonio (Courtney) Hall, Rod Lincoln, Roy Lincoln, and Charles Lincoln; Grandmother, Carolyn Mays; Special Cousin, T'Nesha Mack; Special Uncles, James D. "June Bug" Young, Jr. and Tory Mays; former wife, Susan Young; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
His passing leaves an enormous vacant spot in the hearts and minds of friends and family. He will always be remembered for his wit and unique personality.
