Anthony Erskin Morris, age 48 ,of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Anthony was a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church, a graduate of Northwest High School, and formerly employed at Lucas Pizza, all in Indianapolis, IN.

He is survived by two sons, Deion Matthews and Anthony Morris Jr., both of Indianapolis, IN; three daughters, De'Jah Morris, Breina Morris Sims, and Cassemdreia O'Neal, all of Indianapolis, IN; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Keith Foreman of Metropolis, IL and David Morris of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Paula Simpson-Jones of Metropolis, IL; three aunts; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul L. Morris and Verma T. Nelson Morris and one brother Steve Morris.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2017, 12:00 Noon, at Mt. Horeb in Metropolis, IL. Reverend Joe Benberry will officiate and burial will follow at a later date.

Friends may also call at the church on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
