Annie Rae Walker Jones met her Lord and Savior as she entered the Heavenly Kingdom from Mercy Health Lourdes Hospital of Paducah, KY on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at approximately 8:45 a.m. She was at the blessed age of 70years, 6 months and 24 days.

Annie , a Paducah, KY resident, attended St. James Christian Methodist Episcopal Church.  She received an Associate's Degree from the former Paducah Community College and had been formerly employed as a merchandiser with the Lawrence Merchandising Services in Michigan, Texas and Kentucky.

Annie , an avid reader, was always full of laughter.  She was a social person who loved to help her fellowman whenever a need would arise. Annie enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking.  She was a "Loving Mom" who was also a "Woman of Her Own Words".

Annie is survived by One Son , Brian Walker; Her Mother , Annie E. Walker; Three Brothers , Thomas Walker, Jr. and Bruce Walker, all of Paducah, KY and Jerry (Patricia-"Pat") Walker of Detroit, MI; One Sister , Tracey (James) Hurd of Houston, TX; Six Grandchildren , Brian Walker and Kalia Walker, both of Romulus, MI, Jermey Lowe of Lansing, MI, Brayden Walker, Gianna Walker and Lyndsey Walker, all of Houston, TX; Two Uncles, Oreese (Brenda) Ivery of Paducah, KY and Donald (Diane) Ivery of Toledo, OH; Several Nieces, Nephews, Great-Nieces and Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Jones, Jr., her father, Thomas Lee Walker, Sr., one uncle, Charlie Ivery and two aunts, Fannie Ross and Mary Jones.

Annie will be sadly missed by her family and friends who loved her dearly.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, May 25, 2024, 11:00 a.m., here at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home with Reverend Donna G. Hawkins officiating.  Friends may also call on the family on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
