Anna Catherine Brown Mash was born the daughter to the late Willie Brown and Ella Tivis Brown in Kuttawa, Kentucky on June 3, 1923. Anna Catherine left this earthly life for eternal rest on Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at 9:50 a.m. at Western Baptist Hospital of Paducah, Kentucky. At the time she departed this life, she was 87 years, 08 months, and 13 days old. She was a loving and caring Mother of 18 children of who 10 preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her husband Leroy Mash and several brothers and sisters.

Anna Catherine was a former member of Locust Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Eddyville, Kentucky. She later united with the former St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church of Paducah and was presently attending Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Anna Catherine, a homemaker, was quite fond of going riding with family and friends and helping others whenever she was needed.
