Ann Estelle Owens at the age of 78 years, 3 months and 19 days, born to the late James Ervin and Queen Esther Tyson, transitioned from her earthly home to God's eternal rest on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at approximately 1010 a.m. at Massac Memorial Hospital.

Ann was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis where she diligently served in the culinary department and was a homemaker.

Ann loved spending time with all of her family, exemplifying her love as a loving mother and grandmother not only to her family but also to others as well.

Awaiting Ann's Heavenly arrival with open arms are her son, Traven Corey Ervin, her parents, James Ervin and Queen Esther Tyson, two sisters, Vena Esther Flemons and Gloria Jean George and one step-son Michael Owens.

Ann leaves to cherish her memory, Her Devoted Husband of 41 years, Calvin Ralph Owens of Metropolis; Two Daughters , Dia (Nikki) Lieberenz of Lisle, IL and Ellen Owens of Metropolis, IL; 6 Grandchildren , Chelsea Ann Pollard, Makanda Lieberenz, Noah Lieberenz, Isaiah Lieberenz, Ava Owens and Hakeim Porter; 3 Great-Grandchildren ,  Ruqayyah Pollard, Qaiyim Pollard and Quran Pollard; One Brother , John Fears, One Aunt, Molly Tyson; One Step-Daughter, Tracy Williams, Six Step-Grandchildren, Jason Owens, Gigi Tucker, Gregory Tucker, Jeremy Tucker and Marquelle Tucker, and Derek Owens; One Sister-In-Law , Ann Simons; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins .

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, July 17, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Metropolis with Reverend Dr. Orlando McReynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery.

Friends may call on Saturday at the church from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
