Andrew McGowain, age 90, of Fulton, passed away Monday, May 28, 2018, 1:48 a.m., at the Marion Veterans Affairs Hospital in Marion, IL.

Andrew was a member of Kishwaukee Church of Christ in Rockford, IL and faithfully served his country during World War II in both the US Army and the US Air Force.

He is survived by two brothers , Herbert McGowain of Montgomery, AL and Leon McGowain of California; one sister , Jannie Carter of Rockford, IL; five nieces ; three nephews ; several cousins .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe McGowain and Mary Morgan McGowain; four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 11:00 a.m., at Bells Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Fulton. Reverend Darvin Adams, Sr. will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow on  Wednesday, June6, 2018, 11:00 a.m. in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.

Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
