Alvernice Tolbert, 92 of Paducah died Tuesday, October 11, 2011, 10:30 a. m. at Paducah Care and Rehabilitation Center of Paducah.

Ms. Tolbert was a member of Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gradie Champion and Mamie Bailey Thompson; her Husband Alonzo Tolbert, and one sister, Elizabeth Howell.

Ms. Tolbert is survived by one daughter, Betty J. Smith, of Paducah, KY; three grandsons, Gregory Smith, Ricky Smith and, Guy (Melony) Smith, all of Paducah, KY; five granddaughters, Debra Ann Smith, Patricia E. Smith, Alma Elizabeth Smith, Rhonda (Herman) Smith, Sherry (Anthony) Smith Cooper, all of Paducah, KY. 13 great grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be Friday, October 14, 2011, 1:00 p.m., at Harrison Street Missionary Baptist Church, 1126 Harrison Street, Paducah, KY, with Reverend James L. Hudson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
