Obituary
Alleen F. Sparks, 91, Metropolis, IL, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, 6:27 am, at Baptist Health of Paducah.
She was a member of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church of Metropolis. She was a homemaker and worked as a private sitter.
She is survived by a daughter, Gladys M. Sparks of Metropolis, IL; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; fourteen great great-grandchildren; one great great great-granddaughter; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Odis H. Sparks; parents, Grady Curry Christian and Elizabeth L. Sinclair Cleaves; one sister, Katherine Robinson, and one grandson.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 11, 2013, 1:00 pm at St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church in Metropolis. Reverend Ronnie Woods will officiate, and burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery in Metropolis.
There will be no visitation.
