Addie Leen Cheairs Johnson, age, 101 years, 6 months and 6 days, of Paducah, transitioned to her "Eternal Rest" from her residence on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 5:20 a.m.

Addie was born on October 16, 1922, in Grand Junction, TN, the child of the late Thurman Cheairs and Bessie May Cheairs

Addie, a homemaker, was a Stewardess at St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church where she was a devoted member for over 60 years.

Addie had a great love for her family and an even greater love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Addie loved cooking, walking, and observing her surroundings and all that went with it.  She also treasured traveling with her family and enjoying the quality time they shared together.

Addie is survived by her loving family: One Son, Syvord "Chet" (Pat) Steward of  Chicago, IL; One Daughter, Elizabeth (Vincent) Millen of Orlando, FL; Two Grandsons, Phillip (Ann) Steward of Memphis, TN and Clint Johnson of Orlando, FL; Two Granddaughters, Tracey Jones and Latrese Cheairs, both of Chicago, IL; Four Great-Grandsons, Christion James Johnson, Cameron Alexander Johnson, Antwon Jones, and Bryan Jones; Four Great-Granddaughters, Keshonna Steward, Tennetta Steward, Sophia Elizabeth Johnson, and Zorraida Jones; One Daughter-In Law, Stella Steward of  Memphis, TN.

Addie was preceded in death by her husband, James Johnson and her parents, Thurman Cheairs and Bessie May Cheairs.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Tuesday, April 30, 2024, 2:30 p.m., at the Dixie Funeral Home, 750 Bills Street, in Bolivar, TN with her nephew Reverend Andrew Cheairs officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Grand Junction, TN.

A local visitation will be held here at Pettus-Rowland Funeral Home on Monday, April 29, 2024, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
